When I was in college, the administration used to have a lottery system
for which food vendors got to do breakfast, who'd do lunch, etc.

There was a place called the "Bark n' Bun" which, miraculously got a
breakfast slot. They hurriedly arranged for bagels, muffins, coffee and
juice, but always had their "usual" special on the menu.

    Jolt and a hot dog.

    Breakfast of champions!

Normally I'm not big on a lot of bread at breakfast.. I used to often eat cereal for breakfast in the morning, though in recent years, I've been buying frozen breakfast items (such as egg/sausage/cheese breakfast sandwiches & such) and taking them to work to heat & eat. Also, the company I'm working at now has a cafe that makes breakfast & lunch for emploeyes for decent prices. They have breakfasts that cost between $3.50 and $5 that aren't bad - you can get a breakfast with 2 eggs, hash brown, and sausage (2 links or a patty) for $4.50, and I think it's not bad for the price.

Not sure how it'd make you go blind, it's just like drinking 2 cokes. Modern day energy drinks have more nowadays.

My daughter now likes that brand of Yerba Mate that comes in a yellow can. Interesting, I thought - I drank a lot of Mate in the 2000s, steeped from loose leaves. Mateine is a stimulant in Mate that doesn't cause the same jitters that caffeine does.

Then, I looked at the can. It's got tons of sugar and added caffeine! Makes no sense.

Cold pizza sounds disgusting, but the reality is far better. I often just add some extra tomato sauce (what you Americans call Ketchup) on the pizza, so its not quite as dry.

I'd probably eat anything for breakfast (and I have had things like pizza, leftover Thai food, and other leftovers for breakfast sometimes), but I do like more traditional things like eggs, sausage, and hash browns. And I do think McDonalds makes good breakfast food - I usually go for their sausage & egg McMuffin, hash brown, and vanilla iced coffee (the sugar-free version these days). At home, I have a toaster with a poacher so I can make similar breakfast sandwiches at home if I want (and I've found Wal-Mart's sausage patties taste very similar to McDonalds sausage patties), but I also like making omlettes and scrambled eggs at home.

It makes the leftover hawaian pizza more palatable. I don't get pineapple on pizza for myself, but the rest of the clan like it, and they don't eat the left overs. So a bit of sauce, bit of chilli, to mask the sweetness of the pineapple.

Although I tend to like pizza with a lot of toppings (what some places call a 'combination', with things like salami, sausage, onion, green pepper, olives, etc.), Hawaiian is one of my favorite kinds of pizza.

Years ago, at my first job (at a Dairy Queen), one time a co-worker was ordering pizza for us, and he was asking what kind we like. I said I tend to like combination pizza, and he said he didn't know what that is. I was a little surprised, since most pizza places I've been to have some kind of pizza they call 'combination'.

Sounds similar to what we call tomato sauce. We use it for chips and pies. I'm guessing there are subtle variations, and our version perhaps isn't as sweet. I find American versions of things to generally be sweeter and stronger (bread, sauces, etc)
