From MRO@VERT/BBSESINF to All on Saturday, December 13, 2025 14:42:33
Hey i was wondering if someone could write a script for me, and i think
it would be useful for everyone with a lot of doorgames.

I want the user to be able to type in part of a keyword and it would show up "lord lord2 lord2cnw" and they could select it and it would launch that door.

it's a bit advanced for me and i'm out of practice anyways.
I think the new .ini formats would make it easier to parse data for something like this.

Not sure if i should make a feature request about this. do you guys think something like this would be useful?

Parsing the .ini files wouldn't really be necessary for this. Information on the doors installed is available to the Synchronet JS object model via the xtrn_area.sec_list array, and has been since Synchronet 3.10.

Sort of like the ;find command (find's message area or file area). I don't know where exactly you'd have the user type this string to search, so it doesn't seem like it'd fit into the current xtrn_sec/prompt scheme obviously. But sure, it's doable. Not sure how useful it'd be.

personally, i'd make it the space bar command key. when you have like 300 doorgames i think it would come in handy. i'm happy for the new .ini format.
i was able to mass move doorgames into other sections using text replacement.

Cool. SCFG has some cut/paste functionality built into it too.
